The Canon 50-250 is Lens is Not the Best of the Best by Any Means
If you want the best of the best telephoto zooms then the Canon 55-250 IS Lens is probably not going to live up to your expectations but everyone else should be pleased at this budget entry in the Canon line-up. I have always wanted a telephoto zoom lens for my Canon but never had the cash to buy their previous offering which seemed to have been aimed at the true professionals that make a living from their photography and do not mind paying for the best equipment. This lens on the other hand is much more wallet friendly and the performance decrease is not as big as I thought it would be. My shots are looking very sharp and apart from the color not being quite as vivid as I would have wanted I have no issues with this lens. There is definitely nothing wrong that cannot be spruced up with a quick bit of post editing.
